Jonathan Wright works as a lawyer specialising in residential and commercial property. Jonathan became a trustee of Life in 2015.
Outside of work as a lawyer, Jonathan has built up a good level of experience in the charitable sector. He was involved in the foundation of City Church Birmingham in 1999 and served as part of the leadership of that Church until 2003. He became a trustee of a preschool charity in 2010 and soon afterwards became Chair of Trustees, where he continues to serve.

Laura was born into the work of Life following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother, who was one of the founders of the first Life group in Blackpool. Laura works full-time as a primary school teacher and Leadership coach and is a mother to four children. Laura holds BACP qualifications and has experience using her listening and counselling skills specialising in pregnancy-loss and post-abortion counselling. Her dedication to Life has been relentless, having worked as the Life Regional Representative for the North West region.
Eileen is a stalwart supporter of Life having been an active volunteer since the early 1970’s. During that time she has; established Life drop-in centres, trained and supervised volunteers, spoken in schools, colleges, churches and given media interviews. She coordinated the Life helpline for over four years and has set up and run a Life House. Eileen worked for over ten years as the Life Regional Representative for Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Lincolnshire. She is trained in skilled listening and counselling and specialises in post abortion work. She was educated at Notre Dame High School in Sheffield where she still lives.

Eileen Maher
Eleftheria has lived in three different countries and has over ten years of experience in the Tech sector. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, an MBA and LLB Bachelor of Laws. She is a trained Mental Health First Aider. Her passion is gaining broader experience in the charitable sector.
She has volunteered for charities throughout her career, but her primary focus is helping women through all walks of life with their challenges, which led her to join Life as a Trustee in September 2023.
She is a founding member of The Female Forum, a curated network for female talent to connect, amplify and grow across all industries while helping them on their leadership journey. Additionally, she is a Women in Tech Mentor for an international non-profit organisation on a mission to close the gender gap and to help women embrace technology by promoting women’s empowerment around the world focusing on education, business, digital inclusion and advocacy.
Currently, she is working as a newly-appointed Board Advisory member alongside Refugee Legal Support, a charity consisting of a team of frontline asylum lawyers who assist displaced people with vital legal advice and support.
Martin is a longstanding supporter of Life and formerly the first CEO of Life between 2005 and 2009. A solicitor by training, for almost 20 years Martin has worked in senior leadership roles in the charity sector. He currently serves as CEO of Arise Foundation, an anti-slavery and anti-human trafficking charity. Martin is a Consultor to the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development. He lives in Leamington Spa with his wife, Anna-Marie, and their five children. Martin joined Life as a Trustee in September 2023.
Godfrey Heyman worked for over 40 years until 2024 in senior roles as a housing practitioner, primarily within supported housing. He has worked in a wide variety of housing organisations and with several different client groups. He is passionate in working to meet the needs of vulnerable people.
Godfrey was also previously a housing inspector and a Board member of Gateway Housing Association and recently on the Management Committee of Supported Housing in Partnership. He is a lifelong supporter of Life and is keen, in particular, to use his housing experience to further expand the vital work Life undertakes in the housing arena.
