This policy outlines an ethical commitment to ensure that our non-directive, client-led services maintain our charitable purpose, in the confidence that our women-centred services are what make a material difference to women being supported to have children.
Working in an area where we encounter so much nuance and emotional difficulty, we take responsibility for only offering support that can benefit our clients and not venture into territory that can cause any damage.
We believe that life begins at conception, this means that we seek to support that life to be lived. The principles below define this belief.
We believe that every life is special and equal and that every parent deserves the support that enables that life to be lived. The intrinsic worth of every life is the unwavering foundation on which our work is based.
We know that parenting is one of the most fulfilling yet demanding undertakings.
We hold the evidence-backed belief that choosing parenting or adoption rather than abortion prevents undue harm to women, families and the welfare of our society. We maintain that our modern society doesn’t do enough to support women to have children. Not every woman feels that motherhood is for her. We view giving birth and placing the child for adoption, or being an adoptive parent is a demonstration of great compassion, both for the child and for Society at large.
All actions, programmes, and organisational policies will affirm the inherent worth of life from conception, refraining from supporting, condoning, or facilitating abortion.
This organisation is committed to providing and promoting caring and compassionate alternatives to abortion, including, but not limited to, counselling, prenatal care, adoption support, and material assistance for parents.
We will educate our community about the value and dignity of human life, advocating for a society that supports transitions into parenthood and enables families to thrive.
Recognising the important role of parenthood, this organisation will advocate for and put resources into policies that support parents, especially mothers, through pregnancy and parenthood.
In the services we offer, particularly Housing, we consider the care and advocacy necessary for children, both during pregnancy and after birth.
Services provided under this policy will adhere to a consistent ethic, ensuring that no life is intentionally compromised or undervalued based on age, ability, circumstance, or any other characteristic.
