Would you like an easy way to make a small donation that creates a big impact? Team up with some friends and collect essential items for hospital bags to support expectant mums facing unexpected or crisis pregnancies. You can collect the items yourself and drop off at your nearest Life shop or hop onto our Amazon wish list and select the items you would like to donate and check out! All items are sent to our national office where they are sorted and distributed.
A simple hospital bag can offer comfort and practical support to a mum who may be feeling overwhelmed. Let’s show them they are not alone!
What to Include:
👜 An overnight tote bag or similar
💗 For Mum:
- Toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, shampoo, shower gel)
- Hairbrush and hair ties
- Maternity pads
- Breast pads
- Comfortable socks and slippers
- Lip balm and moisturiser
- Non-perishable snacks
🍼 For Baby:
- Newborn nappies
- Baby wipes
- Sleepsuits (newborn size)
- Newborn hats and mittens
- Vests and socks
- Muslin cloths
- Blanket
- Comforter teddy
🧴 Postpartum Care:
- Nipple cream
- Cooling maternity pads
- Comfortable underwear
- Hand cream
Please ensure all items are new, second hand items will not be accepted.
How to Take Part:
- Gather a group of friends and start collecting items or visit our Hospital Bags Amazon wishlist!
- Pack the hospital bags with love! You can organise a packing session together.
- Drop off your donations at your nearest Life shop or contact communications@lifecharity.org.uk to arrange a collection. Find your closest location at www.lifecharity.org.uk.
- Share your impact! Post pictures of your collection efforts and tag @Life on Instagram, Facebook to spread awareness and inspire others.
