Life Link One provides Pregnancy Matters™ and Life Matters® services in the following areas:

How you can help

Volunteering is changing. We appreciate that many of you may have one or two hours a week or month to give and you want it to be flexible. Your support is the backbone of what we do.

The Hub model means the creation of new and exciting volunteer roles to fit in with today’s lifestyles. We want your volunteering experience to be rewarding – to provide opportunities to learn and grow, meet new people, enhance your CVs – be part of a winning team.

Whether your talent lies in public speaking, skilled listening, fundraising or in retail, there’s a volunteer role for you. We will post specific volunteer opportunities on this page where you can help us out on specific prolife projects. You can also give your support to:

  • Our online services including our Helpline, Text-to-Talk and email
  • Your nearest Life house – Walsall or Northampton
  • Your local Life Matters® Officer
  • Your closest Life shop – Rugby, Kingstanding or Wolverhampton

About this area

How does a Link work?

Each Link will be run as a local charity with a volunteer management board overseeing the work of:

Link Manager – Michelle Chalmers
Responsible for the Link’s activities and impact, Michelle operates under direction from the national team and applies this flexibly to our local area.

Michelle recently joined Life, having worked previously in housing management, commissioning, and safeguarding. In her free time – along with many other interests – she enjoys going to the gym, horse riding, live music, and long walks in the countryside.

Pregnancy Matters™ Manager – Justine Ennis
Supervising the housing, practical and emotional support offer in the area, Justine manages online referrals ensuring clients receive the best care.

Justine’s been working with mothers, babies and pregnancy outreach for 15 years after she graduated with a degree in Race and Ethnic Studies. She started working for Life with the beginning of Link One in November 2016.

Life Matters® Officer – James Tranter
Coordinating events with schools and other groups, James promotes our services and positive message in the region. He also manages local PR, media and campaigns.

James graduated from the University of Exeter in 2011 with a degree in History. After working for a financial-services company, he led a first-time 40 Days for Life campaign and served on the board for the Alliance of Pro-Life Students. He joined Life in 2015 as an Education Officer before moving to his current Life Matters® Officer role.
